Passion for the arts inspired the generosity of George and Dolores Eccles throughout their lifetimes and today.
A passionate interest in the arts and culture, including arts education, inspired George and Dolores Eccles to generously support music, dance, theater, the visual arts and other forms of artistic and cultural enrichment during their lifetimes. The Foundation has continued to build on that tradition through its grants – large and small alike – in support of Utah’s flagship arts organizations as well as small, local, community-based initiatives and programs. Each enriches opportunities for individuals, especially youth, throughout Utah to benefit from the vital part the arts play in their lives, while also strengthening the cultural offerings so critical to the overall economic vitality and diverse social vibrancy of the state.
